"Believe nothing...merely because you have been told
it...or because it is traditional, or because you
yourselves have imagined it. Do not believe what your
teacher tells you merely out of respect for the
teacher. But whatsoever, after due examination and
analysis, you find to be conductive to the good, the
benefit, the welfare of all beings -- that doctrine
believe and cling to, and take it as your guide." ~Buddha

Cool quote, I didn't think Buddah was so reasonable ;) Then again Buddhists aren't know to start wars with other people merely because their beliefs differ. I say, people like to feel superior, so when one group of people come across another they like to establish who is superior or right (usually by fighting, when it comes to an unprovable idea). Even when the each side's ideas are equally illogical.
